Title:MapleStory 2nd Job Bowman – Hunter Skills, Hunter Skill Build (Skill Allocation) with Explanation!

Requirement: Level 30
Go to Bowman Instructional School in Henesys once you’ve reached Lv 30. Go inside, talk to Athena Pierce. She’ll give you a letter and you’ve to pass it to the job advancement instructor near Henesys. After giving the letter, you’ll be given an errand to collect 30 Dark Marbles by defeating the monsters inside. Be careful to stock your potions up before you start collecting the 30 Dark Marbles. Once you’ve collected 30 Dark Marbles, talk to the instructor, and the instructor will award you with a Proof of a Hero. Go back to Henesys’s Instructional Bowman School, and talk to Athena Pierce once again, where then you’ll advance as the Hunter.

How to read this skill build? 16 – 18 means Level 16, 17 and 18 [Level 16 to 18]. For 20 – 20, it means only Level 20. The guide below is purely a personal recommendation and need not be followed. Each skill listed below has advices/tips shared by senior players to guide you in building your character!

Pearl of Knowledge:
Hunter shoots much faster than Crossbowman. Some players choose Hunter because of 4th Job Skill (Storm of Arrow aka Hurricane), some chose this because the Bow does not cover their face, and etc.

Below is the hierarchy order of Pirate advancement:[Bowman Main Page]
Pirate -> Gunslinger -> Vaklyrie (Outlaw) -> Captain (Corsair)
Pirate -> Infighter (Brawler) -> Buccaneer (Marauder) -> Viper (Buccaneer)

Bow Mastery [19/20] / Bow Booster 20 [MAX] / Soul Arrow 20 [MAX] / Arrow Bomb 30 [MAX]
Final Attack 30 [MAX] / Power Knock Back [0/20]
Reason for this Build
Add 1 SP (Skill Point) into Arrow Bomb so you can play with it, to lure mobs, or kill low level monsters. Bow Mastery is maxed till Level 19, not Level 20. It is because the last level only adds accuracy which Bowman have tons of it gained through DEX (Dexterity). Bow Mastery is given first priority because it raises your min (minimum) damage from 10% to 60%. This allows you to deal stable damage! Add 6 Bow Booster to activate Soul Arrow (min 5 SP into Booster), so you have 1 minute of extra shooting speed. Soul Arrow is added so it will be much more convenient to not bring any arrows along! Saves your inventory space and less hassle to loot/purchase arrows. 3 SP of Soul Arrow provides 1.5 minutes buff. Final Attack is added right after Bow Mastery so you have an automatic shot (Free Shot). It gives you an extra attack at split second base on the chances. It’s pretty useful as it saves MP Potion. Final Attack + Double Shot works best on single target. You could either max Arrow Bomb first then Final Attack later, its up to you! It depends on where you train. If you decide to train on mobs, then max Arrow Bomb, then Final Attack later. Once all the cores are maxed, then you could add the remaining SP (Skill Points) into Bow Booster, Soul Arrow, Focus (1st Job Bowman Skill), etc.

MapleStory Wild Hunter Skill Build Guide

Wild Hunter is a Resistance class in MapleStory that is able to summon a captured Jaguar, allowing it to fight by your side or ride on top of it directly into battle! Wild Hunter is a popular class in MapleStory due to its fantastic mobbing skills and overall mobility to get around maps. Whilst the class has been revamped several times, it remains a consistent class that Maplers like to choose and play. This skill build guide will show you all the skills that Wild Hunter possess, including 5th job nodes.

Wild Hunter Overview

Released in the second part of the Big Bang patch (V94), Wild Hunter is part of the Resistance set of MapleStory classes, which include: Battle Mage, Wild Hunter, Mechanic, Xenon, Blaster, Demon Slayer and Demon Avenger. Wild Hunter was one of the first Resistance classes to arrive, alongside Battle Mage. The release of Wild Hunter was the start of the onslaught of new MapleStory jobs being released every single year.

Wild Hunter is known as one of the best mobbing classes in the game. Despite being an old class, it still ranks highly due to being able to wipe out maps that are both small and large. Wild Hunter has a great static summon called Hunting Assistant, which can hit multiple platforms if placed right. It's main attacking skill in fourth job is very powerful and extremely mobile, and you benefit from 100% Knockback Resistance when riding your jaguar. You'll have a blast leveling Wild Hunter from 1st to 4th job because all the skills feel really smooth to use. There are no jarring mechanics to learn with this class.

As a bossing class, Wild Hunter is fairly easy to use. You do have plenty of cooldown skills to manage when you get to 5th job and beyond. When bossing with Wild Hunter you'll start to use your Jaguar as a companion for it's skills, rather than riding it. Managing the Jaguar cooldown skills is important for burst damage, but it's quite easy once you get used to playing. Wild Hunter is a hurricane class, so you'll enjoy seeing lots of lines of damage when fighting bosses. You also get a 12 second i-frame 5th job skill called Primal Fury!

Archers are an underused class, but once they make it to the 3rd job, they have amazing potential. They are possibly the most KSed class in the beginning of the game, due to their lack of dmg stability, but the dmg range is greatly improved once you get the bow mastery in the 2nd job. Begin on the path to the sleepywood dungeon, and in the second screen you will see an NPC called 2nd job advancement guide, or something, talk to her, and you will be teleported to a screen that looks like the dungeon Your job is to collect 30 dark marbles, which are occasionally dropped by the monsters in this screen Once you have 30, return to the guide, and you will recieve a -proof of hero-, which you must take back to athena. She will prompt you for which job to advance to, and of course you will pick hunter...why someone would choose x-bowman is beyond me Congrats, you are now a hunter, your HP and MP have also increased, and you have recieved 1 SP ============ // \\ ||Training Spots|| \\ // ============ level 30 Definetly kerning PQ level 31-35 Zombie/Horned Mushrooms in the dungeon level 36-40 Land of the wild boar (now that your mastery has started to improve your damage, you should see immediate improvement) level 38-51 Ludibrium PQ *(note) you can do the ludibrium PQ at lvl 35, but you will probably not get accepted until level 37 or so, it is highly recommended that you do it* level 40-44 You cant go wrong with jr. kitties in orbis level 46-50 jr.kitties are still great, and you can try stone golems now level 50-55 Stone golems, Jr. Yeti, Hectors are all good things to train on, good exp, and not THAT challenging level 55-60 Dark stone golems, Zombies level 60-70 Dark stone golem, Luster pixies, Zombies Luster pixies are in cloud park VI, and have plenty of safe areas to kill from, also it is very un-populated, so, more exp for you ------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------------------------- ======================= // The way of the Ranger \\ =========================== 8) Becoming a Ranger* Go to El Nath - Chief Residence and speak to Rene. After talking to Rene, head back to Victoria Island and talk to Athena Pierce. Now, find the Door of Dimension in Sleepywood Dungeon V and it'll bring you to -The Path of the Glittering Crystal-. Walk until the end of the path and enter the portal to defeat then enemy within to obtain a Black Charm Return to Athena Pierce and exchange the Black Charm for a Necklace of Strength. Return to Rene after that. Head on to the Holy Ground at the Snowfield -Sharp Cliff II-. 1 Dark Crystal is requirred to answer 5 questions to obtain the Necklace of Wisdom. Now head back to Rene in El Nath and give her the Necklace of Wisdom. level 70+ not really 1 specific good place to train, you can try El Nath, and flame up ice monsters with Fire Shot, but it is totally up to you, whatever gets you good exp, have fun with it, this is where archers shine ------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------------------------- =========================== // The way of the Bow Master \\ =============================== 9) Becoming a Bow Master* *Lack of reliable information for this section Once the 4th job is released I will update this section* ------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------------------------- 10) Stat. point accolation* On maple island, if you remember back, i told you to put 30 into STR, and then max your DEX, this only works until level 25 After level 25, put your points in like this: 1 STR 4 DEX STR should be 5 more than your level at all times Thats all there is to it ------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------------------------- 11) Archer Skills and point accolations* ============== // \\ ||Archer's Skills || \\ // ============== Blessing of Amazon Effect: Passively increases your accuracy My thoughts: useful, definetly a must Critical Shot Effect: Passively gives you a chance to score a 'critical' hit on your enemy, inflicting more damage My thoughts: You are not a true archer without it, you wont survive without it Focus Effect: Once activated, increases you accuracy and avoidability for a short while My thoughts: ehh...not that great, if you have spare points, sure, but its not really necessary, i dont really like focus because you have to activate it to get bonuses Arrow Blow Effect: Fires 1 powerful arrow My thoughts: nah, u need 1 point into it to get double shot, but thats all that should be in there, its not a good skill really Double Shot Effect: Fires 2 arrows that each have half power of an arrow blow arrow My thoughts: YES! max it without a doubt, i will mathematically explain why double shot is better later, but it is without a doubt far superior The eye of amazon Effect: Passively increases your firing range My thoughts: Without a doubt, great skill, your arrows have a really short range to start, but that is taken care of with this skill All righty, thats all the archer skills Now how about some archer skill tables? STRAFE! because of critical shot, level 1 strafe is better than level 20 Double shot, this will become your main attacking skill now, and it seems to fire faster than double shot, just an observation... There we go....they are finally over! now lets see how the final tally plays out ========= // \\ ||Final Tally|| \\ // ========= Strafe: 30 (maxed of course) Mortal Blow: 20 (maxed) Arrow Rain: 28 (maxed) Fire Shot: 26 (maxed) Puppet: 18 Silver Hawk: 29 Thrust: 0 ------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------------------------- 14) Bow Master Skills and point accolations* Bow Masters, one of the best fourth jobs, except for maybe crossbow masters and paladins, if you have made it this far, then congratulations on making it to a job that hasn't been released yet. Although it has not been released in Global Maplestory, the skills have been released ------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------------------------- 4th job skills Maple Hero For a fixed amount of time, boosts your partyÂ’s stats. *My Opinion* It's allright, definetly NOT the thing to get first Sharp Eyes Boosts critical rate and damage for entire party *My Opinion* YES! FINALLY! Archers get a party skill, and it stacks with your regular critical Dragon Pulse Uses a powerful arrow to knock back monsters *My Opinion* This skill is a long range power knock back, very nice Bow Expertness Raises mastery of Bows(requires level 20 bow mastery) *My Opinion* AMAZING! 90% bow mastery, and extra weapon attack Storm of Arrows Fires successive arrows at an incredibly fast rate, estimated at 8~10 arrows/sec *My Opinion* Incredible, 10 arrows a second! Phoenix For a set period of time, summons a Phoenix with fire attribute that can hit up to 4 monsters. (Requires Level 15 Hawk) Does not require Summoning Rocks to use. *My Opinion* It's nice, not the highest thing on the priority list though Hamstring Gives arrows a chance to slow monsters for a short period of time. *My Opinion* It's a great skill, slow them and then arrow spam them with Storm of Arrows Concentrate For a period of time, boosts weapon attack and lowers MP cost of all skills (cooldown of 6 minutes at all levels) *My Opinion* Favulous! even more weapon attack, and lower MP ------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------------------------- *YAY! TABLE TIME!) 2) Sharp Eyes 3) Storm of Arrows 4) Concentrate 5) Dragon Pulse 6) Hamstring 7) Pheonix 8) Maple Hero ------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------------------------- 13) Arrow Blow vs. Double Shot* A long debated topic, AB vs. DS has a history of heated debates Which one is better?? They each have their own pros and cons *(Note) It has been proven that critical shot does not double your dmg, just adds 100% to it, if you fire AB, it does 260% + 100% = 360%, not 260% x 2 = 520%* Lets see which does more dmg AB: 260% dmg without CS 360% dmg with CS Since CS activates 40% of the time...260%*.6 + 360%*.4 = 300% Thus, AB's damage range is 260%-360% and the average is 300%. DS: 130% + 130% = 260% dmg without CS (130% + 100%) + (130% + 100%) = 460% dmg with both CS (130% + 100%) + 130% = 360% dmg if 1 CS activates 60%*60% = 36% chance of no criticals 40%*40% = 16% chance of 2 criticals 40%*60%*2 (since this can happen with either arrow) = 48% chance of 1 CS 260%*.36 + 360%*.48 + 460%*.16 = 340% Thus, DS has a damage range of 260%-460% and the average is 340%. This has just proved that DS is stronger because of CS, and that is why strafe is stronger than DS AB Pros More dmg means you can knockback stronger enemies Costs 4 less MP Only Requires 1 arrow AB Cons Statistically does less damage because of Critical Shot Arrows are useless after soul arrow 4 MP isnt really that big of a differance at all In conclusion, DS does more dmg, and i hate AB, if you dont want to use DS, then dont ------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------------------------- 14) Jump Shooting* As many people know, assassins can Jump shoot, meaning jump, then throw stars many people believe archers can, well they CAN, its just really hard To jump shoot, you must press the jump key and the fire \ key at the EXACT same time. to make this easier, try setting the keys right next to each other, and pushing them with one finger at the same time (i.e. jump is 'space', and fire is 'n') So, why jump shoot? as you may have noticed, when you shoot, you stop moving jump shooting allows you to not slow down, you can just keep on walking, then jump, shoot, and not slow down at all ------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------------------------- 15) Mushmom* Mushmom, bowmen have the easiest time killing mushmom because of their rediculously high accuracy Try killing mushmom around level 40, this is really early for any other class because they really can't hit mushmom yet If you have ever done the Kerning PQ, mushmom is just like the king slime, but an orange mushroom Mushmom's only attack is earthquake, which damages everyone nearby, it will do around 700 dmg at level 40, so how do you avoid it? You jump! Mushmom's Stats: HP: 20,000 MP: 200 Level: 60 EXP: 1200 Meso Drops: 800-1196 Item Drops: Ilbi's Scroll for Gloves for Attack (60%) Scroll for Helmet for Def. Maplestory - What Its Like To Be 5th Job Wild Hunter in 2021

The Wild Hunter is a member of the Resistance that fires a volley of arrows from the back of a tamed Jaguar to overpower foes with relentless attacks. The Wild Hunter is skilled in both close-range and long-range combat. The Wild Hunter has all the characteristics of a Bowman – quick movements, wide attack range, and moving attacks. Wild Hunters are unique, as they need to capture and ride a Jaguar in order to perform most of their skills. Jaguars, which give Wild Hunters a huge boost in mobility, come in a variety of colors, and players can select a color that suits them best. In comparison to other bowman-based classes, Wild Hunters have higher HP, MP, and critical rates. However, a Wild Hunter can be more difficult than other Bowmen to play at first, though it definitely makes up for it with strong attacks at high levels.

Additional Information

Wild Hunter Notes

There are five main Jaguars that Wild Hunters can capture. There are the regular ones, that are basically the regular colored ones. Then there’s Jaira, which is black with glowing eyes, Snow White, which is white with golden marks, Onyx Jaguar, which is black with glowing eyes and armoured, and lastly, Armoured Crimson(coming out in F.L.Y patch- KMS), which is red with a claw mark and is armoured. Both Snow White and Onyx gives an additional 50% stance when you use Jaguar Rider, resulting in 100% stance. Armoured Crimson reduces damage taken and increase resistance to statuses. To find Jaria or Snow White is to go to the Jaguar Habitat and keep changing channels ’till you find blue text saying, “Jaria/Snow White has appeared from between the boulders.” Jaira has a spawn time of 6 hours, while Snow White has a spawn time of 60 hours. You can also switch between your captured jaguars by talking to Belle, however, this is only available after the F.L.Y patch(KMS).
